The physical safety of our residents is very important. la Clémence is secured by an electrified parameter fence with camera surveillance from the single entry point to the Estate. Access is controlled by booms and turnstiles and all visitors and contractors are announced, before gaining access. A security team is on duty 24h per day and is assisted by armed response.

RECREATION
The stylish, modern club house is at the heart of the community at la Clémence. Overlooking majestic views from the north-facing terrace, this hub of activity houses an administration office; coffee shop, lounge; television room; library; dining room and intimate function room with an inside and outside braai area.
The clubhouse hosts the much-anticipated la Clémence social evenings, where residents can enjoy wine and snacks, after listening to a guest speaker or music recital. These ever-popular, monthly events present an ideal opportunity to gather as a community of people who share a similar age, lifestyle, social or cultural interests.
A twice-monthly delivery of books from the Stellenbosch library supplements the growing collection in the la Clémence library, which is also found in the club house.
For residents seeking more energetic pursuits, the clubhouse is the venue for weekly ladies’ exercise classes. The swimming pool is situated next to the clubhouse and a small gymnasium is available to residents, free of charge.
DINING
Residents can take advantage of a prepared lunch, served each day in the clubhouse dining room. In consultation with the catering committee, the catering company regularly treats residents to fun-filled gourmet themes such as potjiekos, Thai evenings, as well as wine and whisky tastings.
Residents who wish to eat at home can conveniently choose to have their meals delivered to them. Residents and their guests are welcome to use the clubhouse pool and braai area, where special functions are regularly arranged.
GROUNDS
la Clémence is set amidst beautifully landscaped grounds that take advantage of established wild olive trees and indigenous vegetation. Each home comes complete with a small, private garden, already planted and connected to an automated irrigation system. Alternatively, keen resident gardeners have the option of establishing and maintaining their gardens themselves.
